COMMITMENT
The Ashworth School of Performing Arts' company members are required to participate in during our Summer classes, as well as from the beginning of August through May. Many weekend rehearsals are held and are ALWAYS mandatory. Unexcused absences from all classes and rehearsals, as well as absences NOT COMMUNICATED to the main office ahead of time, are unacceptable. This is a serious commitment and will not be taken lightly. Participants are expected to fulfill this commitment and will be required to sign a contract if they become a member of the dance company. The company attends 1-2 conventions and 3-4 competitions, with the possibility of a nationals in late June or early July. All of these require travel and must be attended in full; no tardiness or early departure will be permitted. If your dancer becomes a part of the company, there will be a fee due at the start; each convention and competition ranges anywhere from $100 - $500. It is important for us to communicate to you the level of commitment and dedication expected from not only the dancer, but the parent as well. This is a very commitment driven activity and we hold our dance company to a very high standard.
